Eric Chavot Master Class

By participating in one of his acclaimed master classes, you will experience Eric Chavot’s outstanding cuisine in an out of the ordinary way. You will join Eric and his team at the Capital Restaurant, the only Hotel Restaurant in London with two Michelin stars. 

This event will start at noon with a wine tasting by The Capital’s head sommelier, followed by a delicious lunch, which guests will be able to recreate themselves later during the master class. Eric Chavot will share his expertise in preparing his innovative and delicate style of French cuisine, making this experience not only informative but also very rewarding and a wonderful opportunity to improve one’s own culinary skills.

Prices: from £205 per person

Time: 12.00 Wine Tasting; 3 course lunch followed by master class in The Capital kitchen; 6pm approximate finish.

A Passion for Chocolate

Are you a true chocolate lover, gazing through the shop windows of our fashionable “chocolatiers” and dreaming away by the smell of a hot cocoa?

If so, the Chocolate Master Class of The Capital Hotel’s very own pastry chef Andrew Gravett will be a dream come true.

Andrew has worked in the two Michelin starred kitchen at The Capital since 1999 and trained in some of the most prestigious schools in France, such as L’Ecole du Chocolat, using Valrhona chocolate from the Rhone Valley.

As wine, chocolate has a large variety of flavours and is a very complex ingredient to work with. From a very early stage in his career Andrew has been encouraged to create new compositions of chocolates and petit fours, always putting taste before presentation.

Guests participating at this Master Class will experience working with mouth watering flavours such as banana and rum ganache, earl grey ganache, lavender ganache, dark chocolate truffles and passion fruit ganache.

The Chocolate and Petit Fours Master Class includes Afternoon Tea at The Capital where guests can already taste some of the creations they will prepare themselves afterwards, followed by the Master Class lead by pastry Chef Andrew Gravett himself.

Cocktail Master Class

Get stirred, not shaken.

If you want to make sure that your next house party is one of those everybody will still speak about for a long time, or if you just want to have a fabulous night out doing something really enjoyable and fun, then you should not miss the Cocktail Master Class of the Capital’s Bar Manager Cesar da Silva.

Cesar will lead you through the world of cocktails making you mix and try five of the most famous classics from maritinis to mojitos, bellinis to cosmos. Cesar has been with the Capital for over 10 years and won several cocktail competitions along the way. During the evening he will lead you through a maze of ingredients and spirits passing on some of his vast knowledge around the art of mixing drinks. So be amazed about how a good cocktail really tastes.
